For this, he was congratulated by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 25 June 2015.
Sri Sri Ravi Shankar founded the Art of Living Foundation in 1981, which aims to relieve individual stress, societal problems, and violence.
In 1997, he also founded the International Association for Human Values (IAHV) to coordinate sustainable development projects, nurture human values and coordinate conflict resolution in association with The Art of Living.
The Order of the Democracy Simon Bolivar was created in 1980 to honour the outstanding citizens for their service to the nation in any field. It is granted by the House of Representatives of Columbia.
The order was established to highlight the efforts, loyalty and virtues of citizens or institutions for democracy.
